The IMI Defense™ M16 A1/A2 Carry Handle Mounting Rail Z-Shape is an advanced optic mounting solution engineered for M16A1, M16A2, and compatible carry handle rifle platforms. Designed for enhanced versatility and stability, this innovative Z-shaped mount provides an extended Picatinny rail platform for optics, scopes, lights, lasers, and tactical accessories while maintaining access to the rifle’s iron sights.

Precision-machined from aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum, the mount delivers exceptional strength, lightweight performance, and long-term durability. The Mil-Spec hard anodized finish provides superior corrosion resistance and rugged protection for demanding operational environments.

The self-locking thumb screw system securely mounts the rail to the carry handle, maintaining consistent zero retention during use. The lower Z-extension section attaches directly to standard GI AR15/M4 handguards using two mounting screws, creating a stable dual-point mounting system for enhanced rigidity and support.
